Why did EPISD Call a Bond?

The Eagle Pass ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to accept the EPISD Facilities Improvement Committee's recommendation to call a bond totaling $150 million for the May 2026 election. This decision came after months of work by the committee comprised of community members, which determined and prioritized future-ready education, safety and security, equity, and financial transparency.

  • Eagle Pass High School: Replace HVAC main building

  • CC Winn High School: Relocate guard house, chiller replacement

  • Eagle Pass JH Additional gym

  • Memorial JH: Additional gym

  • Rosita Valley Literacy Academy: Addition of Gym

  • Language Development Center: Addition of Gym
